Care Guide
Laibach & York pieces are designed for everyday use. With simple care, materials retain their finish and character over time.
General care
- Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or cleaning.
- Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions, and sanitiser.
- Wipe pieces after wear with a soft, dry cloth.
- Store separately to prevent scratching.
Cellulose acetate
Cellulose acetate is durable, but like all polished materials it can scratch if stored against hard surfaces.
How to clean
- Use a soft cloth with mild soap and lukewarm water.
- Rinse gently and dry fully before storing.
- Avoid alcohol-based cleaners and harsh chemicals.
Sterling silver (925)
Silver naturally develops patina over time. This is normal and can be polished back to a brighter finish.
How to polish
- Use a dedicated silver polishing cloth for light tarnish.
- For heavier tarnish, use a gentle silver cleaner (rinse and dry thoroughly).
- Store silver in a dry place to slow tarnishing.
Storage
- Keep pieces in a pouch or box when not worn.
- Store away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Keep silver separate from other metals to reduce scuffing.
